Description: My favorite type of GI Joe has always been the arctic figures. I'm not sure whether that's due to having Frostbite, Snowjob, Snow Serpent and Ice Viper all among my first figures, or if it's due to watching movies with snow warfare like The Empire Strikes Back at a young age. Whatever the case, they're still my favorites today (along with Cobra Commander and Firefly, but that's not important right now).
It's fascinating how the vehicle drivers in GI Joe almost all get ignored -outside of a few like Cover Girl, Clutch and Wild Bill who have broken out as important characters- but most of the drivers from 1982-87 are just as good or better than their carded teammates. This is particularly true of the 1985 drivers.
Despite getting a seemingly endless number of figures in the early 2000s, Frostbite is one of those who gets ignored these days, and that's a darn shame. His head sculpt has loads of personality, his uniform is detailed and cool looking, and he comes with one of the best weapons in the entire run. His file card is even entertaining. I used him both with the Snow Cat and without, and he had sort of an arch-rival in my lead Ice Viper.
