Hello Guest

'84 Joes (Feat. Blowtorch)
Description: The '84 Series is interesting to me, because it's got a lot in common with '85, but is still a little more grounded in the "team" aspect that 82-83 were.

The Bridge Layer does a great job of filling out the background. Kind of like Blowtorch, that's another toy that's way more fun than it really should be.

Tollbooth makes a lot more sense in the context of 1984...swivel head notwithstanding.

You're right about the cohesiveness of the '84's.  Even with the different looks, the figures do all work as a unit.  I suspect that's a function of them being designed for a specialty instead of a character.  I suspect the '85 cartoon was the impetus for the stronger emphasization on characters.
