Hello Guest

Manimals
Description: The Manimals are bad G.I. Joe figures.  But, they are actually good toys.  They are good quality, feature strong paint and are amazingly sculpted.

I always wondered what Star Brigade was supposed to be. The file cards and aliens come across as an entirely different story line from ARAH, which makes it all the more odd there was never any media support for that. For as much as they love TF crossovers, a cartoon push for these that takes place in the Transformers universe would've worked a lot better than having Megatron randomly decide it'd be fun to pretend he's a HISS Tank for a week.

Also, Mummy Mask fits in really well here.

There was going to be a Star Brigade animation that was going to be included with a "Manimal Hunter" figure.  So, there were plans for it to be supported.

The entire concept was baked up after the Hasbro guys learned Kenner was going to bring back Star Wars.  That's why you have Han Solo and Boba Fett characters in Star Brigade.  Their plan was to beat them to the retail punch.  But, Hasbro bought Kenner, kept Star Wars, canned Joe and all those guys got fired.

I've always felt that Star Brigade was going to evolve into a sister line of G.I. Joe.  It would be all sold under the Star Brigade banner with the G.I. Joe brand just being part of the umbrella.  Had '95 come to be, you'd have had space toys under Star Brigade, Military Toys under Battle Corps Rangers and Martial Arts toys under Ninja Commandos.  Would have been an interesting intersection of marketing.  But, we'd have gotten some good toys from it.

Great idea to put them with Blanka. I only got one of them and never opened it. I've never collected street fighter either but I can't deny Blanka is well done.
