Hello Guest

Target Range: Dial Tone
Description: Dial Tone has a funny place in my Joe collection, because for most of my childhood all that he and Mainframe did was man the communications center in the 1983 Headquarters. Today it still looks a bit weird to me if those two aren't sitting in those two chairs. I like Dial Tone mostly, he was amusing as the "barely able to stay a Joe" character in the cartoon and he's cool enough. I'm not real sold on the Special Mission Brazil version, though. His colors always seemed just a bit too busy. But, because I've been wanting to do a Special Mission Brazil photo for a while, I opted to use him this week.

Really nice photo! I'm a big fan of how big you make your shots feel.

Great stuff man, really makes me want a MB set!

Thanks! Prices seem to be dropping on them, on Ebay they seem to be going for about half of what they were a few years ago. Still pricey though.

I love the setting.  It's always nice to see the whole team together.  (I don't think I've ever actually done that!)

Agreed.  Cool location, and nice job using the whole team in a shot.  I'd love to own a Claymore one day.

Thanks guys! I was trying to work the lighting to get a look that was roughly analogous to the opening jungle scenes of Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think it turned out pretty well.
I was pretty happy to be able to use the whole team, my brother found them (all complete except for Leatherneck's gun!) and around a dozen other 85-87 era Joes in a "Combat" case a few years ago for cheap. I've been wanting to do a photo like this ever since. Claymore is probably my favorite, just because he's the most visually interesting. Leatherneck and Wetsuit are both really good as well.
