Hello Guest

Target Range - Original 13
Description: Grand Slam (red pads v1.5)

Funny enough, I had this figure years before I managed to find a HAL.  Grand Slam, Clutch and Hawk were actually the first of the original 13 that I ever picked up.

He's probably one of the least appreciated of the 13.  The red version usually gets overshadowed by the silver one.  I always liked that he has the darker green uniform, it helps him stand out a bit.

Thanks guys.  I had planned to shoot some more pics for this theme, but there was just too much other stuff going on to have any time.  Plus, we were having internet issues.

Great shot! I kind of regret not picking up a couple more of those Clutch/Hawk/Grand Slam sets back in the day. Did you get yours from Joe Parts dot com, too?

Mine came from ebay iirc.  They were sold as sets for around $60, and I think the seller was also selling them by the case too.

Wow, that is a nice Grand Slam. I've always liked the dark green/bright orange combo on him, the contrast is really cool.

I really like the HAL, it's a fun toy with good play value. Really, the only weird thing about it was that it was sold along side the FLAK, which just seems like a shittier version of the same thing.

As for Grand Slam, he's one I really want, but he does leave something to be desired. I always felt like Flash was the "real" version of the mold and Grand Slam was just a lazy rehash for a vehicle. I think different lower legs would've helped, and his face might've been a bit better if Zap had a unique one.

The figure and vehicle look like they were taken from the box just for this photo.  The color and clarity of the photo are so pristine.

The HAL is a decent photo prop.  It has a lot of detail  and is just the right size to hide backgrounds or accentuate figures in front of it.

That is a crisp Grand Slam! It's nice to see him with the HAL. I don't think I've ever taken a picture of the HAL, actually.
