Description: "Demon of the Deep"
It was a challenge to only pick one image as my favorite photo. Looking back through my old shots, this one from 2012 stood out to me. I'm still amazed that I was able to convincingly simulate an underwater shot without any photoshopping. The secret was a small piece of green cling wrap placed between the camera and the figure. A strategically placed desk lamp provided the lighting. I've tried to repeat this process but have not always had success since then. It is very fiddly.
I may have to post a few runner up shots, it was so hard to choose just one.

It took me a minute to realize this wasn't underwater. Just an amazing job of creating the effect. Plus, the posing on the figure really sells it. | |

Great stuff, I remember this one! I often look back fondly on that 2009-2013 era, things weren't perfect, but there was an excitement about things.
