Shipwreck Under Siege (Theme Week - Water) |
|
Description: Shipwreck has been a favorite since I was a kid. His figure is excellent, a standout even in the best year of GI Joe, and his characterization on the cartoon was absolutely fantastic.
Initially I was planning on doing a scene with Shipwreck and Copperhead in a knife fight on the water's edge, but while I was looking for Copperhead, I came across my Lampreys and decided to use them instead. I threw an Eel into the mix, and The Corps! boat I literally found today at a thrift store.
I'm pretty happy with the result.

I have this boat stashed away somewhere. Got it at walmart. Not sure what year, but it had to be around 2004.
I'll probably end up repainting it one day, but I don't know if I should make it a joe or a cobra vessel. |

| July 20, 2024, 01:30:38 PM That creek location is what I wish my creek was. You can get down to get a shot in the water. And, the bottom isn't full of crap. The rocks in the background make it feel like a canyon. The posing of all Shipwreck's victims is great, too.
That's the CORPS! boat, isn't it? I desperately wanted one of those back in 1999 or 2000. At the time, Lanard was shipping pallets of vehicles to every K Mart, Wal Mart and even places like Big Lots. But, they weren't shipping the boat. I ended up with a couple of Hum Vees and Tanks. But, this boat was one that got away. |

I've always wanted one of those boats. Is it pretty fun?
The rocks in the background make the location extra nice, excellent posing too!
It's a solid vehicle. It's not Moray, WHALE or TTBP levels of fun, but it has some nice features like an opening hatch and a few swiveling gun mounts. It's definitely worth the $3 I spent on it. I actually went to a local park to take this, one I'd wanted to take Joe pics at for a while now. Those rocks are a big reason why it was on my list. |
