| Theme Week: Slice |

Description: COBRA is one of those things where picking and choosing a favourite is a lot harder than it should be. There's strong characters and strong figures, but they don't always overlap, and it's also a relatively even playing field, since figures like Storm Shadow, Zartan, Firefly and Destro are all about the same quality, where it becomes splitting hairs to choose.
Slice, though, is one of my favourite figures and the character was a lot better than what it likely should've been, just judging by his era.

Nice color and depth on this shot.
I like Slice, but the action gimmick ruins him for me. I did get a v1 years ago and ended up breaking him when I tried to change the o-ring.
I've always liked his design. I never thought much of the orange version, but now he looks kinda cool. | |

I was nearing high school graduation when Slice appeared in the comic. He was almost enough to get me to go to a store and buy one. Almost.  I thought his design was awesome, though.
Bad articulation aside, he is a great figure. He's well proportioned, the headpiece works well and the simplicity works great for his specialty.
I think there's like 14 uses of his body mold. If he was customizable, there would tones of amazing Slice LBC's using all the different colors.
The orange is the best. It's just so striking and really doesn't matter as much for a ninja character. |
