Hello Guest

Theme Week: Desert Paratrooper
Description: The first exposure I had to this mold was the lousy repaint from the 2001 Headquarters. I wound up with the original in the late 2010s, and I learned how much improvement the headgear made up of a beret, neck shroud and googles really did to improve the overall look of the figure, and also kind of make it feel more like Flint.

The colours on this version are really nice for the era, too.

Great shot.

I had this version of Flint, but one day his torso broke apart internally on its own and I never got around to replacing him.  94 Flint is very underrated.

I'm glad you did this one, I was going to do one with him, 1991 Dusty, 1993 Duke and the Stargate AWE Striker, but I ran out of time. I love the scrub brush underfoot, and Pathfinder is a good match due to his vest color. I'd never have thought of using both of these two in the same photo.

I always forget that this is Flint.  I use the figure a lot.  But, when I found him at retail in '95, I immediately made him a new character.  So, I've never seen him as Flint.  (Which is odd as the new character was actually Flint's much younger brother...but, that was a secret no one could know since I used him as a criminal compatriot.)

I always forget he's Flint, too. I didn't even know he was supposed to be Flint when I was a kid, because his file card had been lost by an older sibling. I assumed he was a later version of Dusty, so to me that's who he was for years.

The helmet makes the figure.  That 2001 figure had potential.  But, with no helmet, it was just too basic.
