Hello Guest

Theme Week - Flint
Description: Not sure if I'm going to have time to do a new shot this week, so here's one taken in 2016 at my grandparents' house.  Sadly, I no longer have access to what was once one of my favorite locations to shoot pics at.  Grandma passed away in 2020, and Grandpa has now moved out to live with family.  Life goes on I suppose.

Flint v1 is a classic figure, no doubt about it.  It actually took me awhile to find one in decent condition.  He's a common joe to find, but so many of them have a lot of worn or faded paint.  I probably need to dig him out and check his condition, as I can probably do a better job touching him up now.

It took me awhile to appreciate the crooked beret.  I still kinda don't like it.

Sorry to hear that, it's never easy to lose a grandparent.

I really like the colors on this one. Flint and Lady Jaye are always an awesome pairing.

Having photos like this is a great way to remember people and places.  My parents owned the home I grew up for 40 years...selling it about a decade ago.  But, I was able to get some pictures in the yard and it's a great reminder of where I grew up.  I really wished I had some photos from my grandparents' yard.  I have so many memories of playing outside there.  But, it was sold in 1995 or so...well before the digital age.

I don't think most collectors even know what a mint '85 Flint is supposed to look like.  I see so many dealers selling "mint" figures that have no gold on them.  And, people pay premiums for them!  It's disheartening.

I've never gotten a good shot with Lady Jaye and Flint.  You really pulled it off, here.  The colors pop and the posing is great.

Sorry to hear about your Grandmother, and the location being gone. Life goes on, but there's the little things that you never really think about.

Really like the set up for this shot. I always like seeing tan vehicles contrasting with the green setting.
