Hello Guest

What Do You Think?
Description: So, what do you think?

My thoughts:

They're a little smooth.  It makes them look cheap.

The heads are the overly large Super7 type.  So, these will stand out among vintage figures.

The hands are for ReAction accessories.  So, there's not going to be a ton of compatibility.

The waists are too big and the crotches, again, look like the mold Remco models.  They're probably stronger than vintage Joes.  But, they also have a look to them that stands out.

They are all swivel necks, too. And that's going to annoy some and make others not annoyed. LOL

So far, my favorite of the reveals would be the twins in their EE suits.  That's the kind of stuff I want to see.  I want to like cartoon Covergirl, but like all of their female figures, it's like they are afraid of making them actually look feminine.

Saw a picture of the twins next to a picture of Headman the other day, and they're a big improvement in O-ring suit design. They're a case where less detail actually helps, his suit ends up looking too small for him. I also like that they didn't give them a 00s era plastic skirt for their coats, which would've impeded posability.

I agree on Cover Girl, it would've been nice if her figure's figure looked more like her cartoon model. I'll pick one up anyway, as I think she still looks pretty good overall, but they definitely could've done better.

Side note, someone on Hisstank apparently talked to Brian Flynn at Joefest and he said these will fit classic footpegs and backpacks. So that's a huge win.

I'll probably buy the twins. Just being able to walk into a Target and buy an action figure is something I haven't done since 2006 (except for one anniversary viper in 2011) so that will be fun. I am concerned if the sculpts won't go with vintage figures, since my main focus with any post-06 figures is whether they fit my existing collection for photos. I'm also not a big Sunbow fan so the cartoon-based Cover Girls and CC versions don't appeal much. If they start doing comic references, though, I will be more inclined to overlook all my concerns.

Cautiously optimistic.  I'm not a fan of super7's products in general, or the company for that matter. I've never purchased anything of theirs before.  S7 stuff always looks cheap and overpriced to me.

These kinda look like off brand knockoffs, rather than G.I.Joe in terms of the sculpts.  They are close, but something is off about them.

I need to see the finished products before I can really judge these.  If the plastic or paint quality sucks, then I'm not interested.

I have to reserve judgement, but I'm not too impressed. The sculpt is way too smooth and flat for my tastes.

Some of the oddball characters might be alright.

I'm cautiously excited so far. Headsculpts look really good. Metal rivets are a win. In super close ups, there appears to be clothing ripples and some details that the light blue is hiding. They aren't quite perfect, but they look like a pretty good debut for S7's first wave.

I'm really excited to get Blonde Cover Girl and the Extensive Enterprises version of the twins, because those have both been on my wants list since I was a kid. And Sunbow Cobra Commander is always going to be a win with me.
Pending paint, I'm planning on getting those four. SE and the BAT, I don't really care about.
