Theme Week: Favourite Factory Customs |
|
Description: This one is much like Mike T's first one, where it's more of an honourable mention.
The figures in this one (Sparks, Bombardier, Sunbow Snake Eyes, Gold Steel Brigade) are mainly to represent the overlooked characters and designs that were often skipped over in the various releases.
I'm a big proponent of figures like the Gold Head Steel Brigade getting the Factory Custom treatment, as more often than not the "rarity" is the driving factor of any popularity these figures have. In other markets, with actual rarity, people seldom lose their minds because some dude went out and did a fan klub reissue of some obscure Portland punk rock 7" that had been out of print for 35 years.

| May 31, 2024, 07:40:33 PM I forgot Bombardier got made, not sure why I never bought one.
I love that figures like this exist, but the quality can be so all over the place. Not to mention the pricing. After awhile I lost interest and stopped paying attention to them. |

| May 30, 2024, 02:13:56 AM I wish I'd picked up one of those Bombadiers. Hard to believe that I balked at paying $12 for one and was hoping it would drop a bit.
Factory customs have proven that some figures aren't really loved. Despite the Black Major figures, you don't see Starduster much more than you ever did.
I wonder how many factory customs there are, now. There has to be more figures than were released in the vintage line for sure. |

Bombardier is truly underrated. I thought about taking a shot of him, but I've never used him before, so I wonder if he's really a favorite or not. Either way, I'm really glad figures like these exist too. |
