Excellent light on this shot.  The slugger looks fantastic here, and so does 97 Grunt.

I appreciate the '97's more and more every day.  Shots like this are why.  I need to get a Slugger, again.  It's a great vehicle for shots like this.

It's nuts that 20 years has passed since those maligned figures were released!

This is a sweet shot of the Slugger! Good job reequipping that Grunt too, I always thought it was weird they gave him an AK.

Great shot with the sunlight on the barrel of the cannon! Cool pose on Grunt too!

The Slugger is extra good because the driver can actually sit inside and close the hatch, which didn't happen on a lot of early GI Joe tanks, especially the "realistic" ones. He can also pop out of the hatch convincingly, too. I never understood "mobile artillery" as a younger person, I just used it as a tank. It's cool either way.

Great photo! Grunt's 'dinner party shirt' matches the Slugger very well.

Last weekend, I visited my mom in my hometown. I also had a bunch of Joe vehicles there. The 97 Slugger, 97 Rage, the Night Rhino, the v2 Dominator, and a few others. Looks like they all disappeared, which makes me very sad.

Bummer! I actually wished I had the 1997 Slugger for this photo, but the fact the figures from 1997 look good with a vehicle from 1984 shows how versatile and well done G.I. Joe is!
