Hello Guest

Theme Week - Airborne
Description: Airborne is the reason I'm a Joe collector to this day.  A neighbor kid brought his over in the summer of 1983 and I was hooked.  The superior gear, more vibrant colors and swivel arm battle grip created a superior action figure to even the improved Return of the Jedi figures that dominated that year up until that point.

I've never really gotten a good photo of Airborne.  And, I'm pretty sure mine is both faded and features a massively discolored backpack.

Nicely posed, great use of the dragonfly winch.

Airborne v1 is a figure I have fond memories of, I still remember finding him at one of the first toy shows I ever attended.  He was buried in bin of cheap joes; I think I paid around $5 for him.  For a long time, he was the oldest Joe in my collection.  Unfortunately, mine is starting to yellow a bit one side of his thigh.  My dad has one that the whole suit has turned darker.

Nice shot, and good choice of figure, I like Airborne, and though I don't have many photos of him, I like all the ones I do have

Your theme picks have been really on-point, Mike. Incidentally, I don't have any real good pictures of Airborne either, which makes it motivating to fix that.

Great pose on him here, I usually find it a little tough to get a figure rappelling in a decent pose.
