Is This Even Allowed?!? |

Description: For the first time in 9 years, I opened an anniversary figure. Turns out, all the reasons I disliked them from 2007 and 2008 are still there. I still don't get the love for these things.

| September 14, 2017, 12:14:08 AM Hasbro for the most part has really lost the plot over the years.
The modern style stuff did improve after awhile, but I just could not cave in and collect the stuff. |

| September 06, 2017, 10:22:18 PM I liked and agree with your review, Mike, as I said on Twitter. I have serious nostalgia for the first 25th Anniversary offerings, but I sold most of mine and ultimately kept my o-ring stuff. I do have a bunch of modern era figs from RoC onwards, where they got better... but they're still really fussy and finicky. They look great, but you can't really play with them. |

| September 06, 2017, 04:52:48 PM The Forgotten Figures review you did was nice! The Modern Error figures, are a real mixed bag, there were a few really nice ones, but at the end of the day even if they were good toys, they weren't great at being GI Joes |

| September 06, 2017, 12:51:00 PM She looks lethal! I like the idea of female Cobra Troopers as a support staff for a "Worlds Without End" Baroness/Steeler duo, but both these & the "backless" O-ring offerings a few years back both seem to be just a little off from what I imagined/wanted them to be in my mind...but at least they're trying. I dunno, I'm really easy to please on most things, but I can also be picky with certain other stuff |

| September 05, 2017, 05:42:46 AM There was a lot of hype for this figure because it's a female Cobra, but honestly this is one of the worst ME sculpts they've made in a while. Overall quality was just terrible IMO. I don't believe this figure was sculpted during the time of the old design team Hasbro fired around 2013 or so.
Comparatively though, said design team had improved upon the figure construction a good amount during their time. The figures released between 2010 and 2013 are mostly of good quality, some of which are excellent. Overall I'd say the "Modern Era" figures improved a lot more over the time they've been available compared to the New Sculpt figures. Despite that, I don't think you'd be very impressed with any of the figures you've skipped over the years. |
