Description: I really wanted this toy as a kid, though I never got one until a few years ago. It's amazing how many simple things it does wrong, though, I'm still mildly fond of it. From what I can tell, it seems like even New Sculpt figures can't really sit on it and hold the handles at the same time, which is disappointing. I also don't understand why the gun platform has springs to keep it in a neutral position, it's like they were intentionally trying to limit the play value.
On the other hand, it's a good looking toy and is fairly reminiscent of the Python Patrol vehicles. I also really like the gun platform on the back despite the spring thing, it looks powerful. I always wished the Ferret had something like that.

I have no recollection of this vehicle, though I assume it's a repaint/retool of the wave 1 vehicle.
Nice to see it with some pseudo contemporary figures, though! | |

I had one of these back when it came out, I think it ended up sold at a garage sale. For awhile it was one of the few cobra vehicles I had.
Looking back at it, the color scheme is really nice, but it is oversized in order to fit all the gimmicks. | |

My wife got super pissed at me over this toy. It was Christmas Eve 2002 and we were out shopping. I insisted at stopping at one more Wal Mart. Sure enough, this thing was there and I bought it.
The Wal Mart was super busy, though, and we got stuck in the crowd there for nearly an hour. She was livid that we wasted so much time over something I really only bought since it was brand new.
So, whenever I see this thing, that's what I remember.  |
