| March 10, 2022, 10:27:10 PM This figure is great in concept, but not well executed for reasons already stated. I prefer the '94 version. The original just looks odd, the sculpt feels more like a knock off.
Great shot, love the depth with the background. |

| February 20, 2022, 04:06:13 AM I love the brick wall in the background. It really conjures up images of issue #114, definitely Metal Head's best appearance in Joe media. (VASTLY better than his awful DIC characterization.)
I liked the figures as a kid, although I unfortunately got the thin-peg variety so those rapidly broke making his leg launchers useless. So most of the time I used him the opposite of this pic, with his backpack launchers but not leg. |

| February 15, 2022, 03:14:36 PM I was too old for Joe when this guy came out. But, I was babysitting the kid down the street and he had one. I used the leg launcher as a holster for his pistol. Still remember that day for that reason.
I still really love the figure. I just never use him. He's a PITA to get set up and posed with all his gear. |

| February 14, 2022, 01:58:21 AM I love Metal Head, but man, this first figure just has so many weird problems. Leg pegs are super fragile, very clunky, weird looking helmet... Then again, he looks great. I love his gun, and he's got a great sculpt and colors. It's nice having a real Iron Grenadier who's easier to take seriously than Voltar.
I love the depth and gritty sand/debris in this shot! |
