2020 Retro Hiss |
|
Description: I broke down and bought a Hiss. $25 is way too steep for this guy. But, I figured the Hiss Driver will be tradable in a year and that will cut the cost in half. It's cool to have a shiny new tank. And, the cockpit working for vintage figures is nice.
I can see buying more vehicles if they come out. I'd love another shot at the various Rattler repaints.

| November 19, 2020, 02:29:42 AM As people are noting, the HISS driver is already selling for $18 to $24.
I don't even know why. I'm out of touch with modern collecting. Seems to be full of people ready to throw too much money buying everything. |

| November 18, 2020, 08:12:06 PM I picked up the AWE Striker, and was surprised with how much I liked it. The HISS is a thing I'm probably not going to seek out, though.
Funnily enough, on the box back, as seen in your profile, Hasbro actually used a 1983 HISS. |

| November 16, 2020, 02:21:33 AM I've seen the HISS and the AWE Striker a few times now, but so far I've passed due to price. If they bring back the water moccasin I'd pick that up for sure.
G.I.Joe is in a really weird state these days. High demand and really awful distribution. I've only spotted the classified line a handful of times in person. |

| November 08, 2020, 03:04:30 AM The fact that this Retro line is doing so well really just shows how much interest there still is in GI Joe. Given their current offerings, I doubt Hasbro will live up to that potential, but there's a lot they could do with 25th vehicle reissues alone (Water Moccasin, Sky Hawk, Stinger, etc.). |
