Description: Co Bao & John Rambo’s relationship has always been one of my favorites in all of cinema. I see them in these two. Also, I never had the SLAM as a kid, but my buddy Justin did. This one just came to me via eBay this week.
*This is a wider view of the close up I posted on IG this morning. I have another angle I’ll post on Flickr later.

| July 08, 2019, 10:46:31 PM The slam is one of those vehicles that I forget exists. So strange, but that turret with the 4 barrels does look awesome, I could see mounting that onto a larger vehicle. |

The SLAM is a super weird vehicle. It can be cool at times. But, makes absolutely no sense. These two are a good pairing. Though, Fast Draw was always my gunner of choice.
The SLAM always looks good in photos to me, but yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess it's an example of the "rule of cool".
I like seeing major characters manning a vehicle like this, it reminds me of the box art for the vehicles and how they more often used single-card characters in favor of other vehicle drivers.
Thanks guys! Yeah, I agree with you two that it IS weird, like why not have the missiles face the opposite direction so you aren’t leaving yourself unprotected from the opposite side? Probably why I never prioritized getting it as a kid. Fast Draw makes sense Mike, because he’d be protected from those missiles’ exhaust...I like using unorthodox characters to man vehicle posts too Neko- I almost went with Repeater & TF Tripwire for this, but the SLAM reminded me of that old SNL skit “The Love Toilet” with Kevin Nealon & Victoria Jackson, so I thought I should go with a couple😁 Plus, this way it’s 1987 all-around🤓 Last modified by: Bouncy Bengal June 29, 2019, 12:11:39 AM |
