Sweet shot Mike!
I've been thinking about the helmets on these guys, and I realized they might be intentionally loose. There's a lot of paint on their heads and this might've been done to reduce the friction and damage on that. A little bit of blu-tac might help.
The gun issue makes me really nervous too. I think the newer ones are made of a somewhat softer plastic which seemed to help, but it's still somewhat nerve-racking to give them a gun. | |

I love this photo. Great combo of parts and characters.
How do you feel about actually getting the grenade launcher into Starduster's hand? I was too afraid to do it on mine. And mine has very good joints (unlike my other Black Major figs), but his helmet didn't want to stay on at all. But mounting putty fixed that nicely. I don't think he's ever leaving my Dragonfly, anyway.
I had a terrible time getting the launcher into his hand. I thought I was going to break either the thumb or the gun. I finally just decided I didn't care either way and managed to finagle it in there. I'm not a huge fan of the tight hands on all the figures. And, with cheaper plastic, I'm sure to break something at some point. I have yet to get a Steel Brigade figure to hold his weapon. | |

Recondo looks surprisingly good with that bazooka, too!
Both of them I got are a little loose. And, the helmet doesn't fit at all. It falls off his head completely. The color combo is good.
I got a new Recondo variant, but no gun. I was looking for a spare when I found the bazooka. But, I had to have him hold like this as I was afraid it would snap his thumb if he held it correctly. | |
