This is just such a great combination of figures I've never seen together in the same photo before. Really cool shot!

Great colors here! I like how you set up the camera so low on the Hill too!

Ian is correct, Buzzer and Ripper in that set do appear to be homages to the rare funskool variants.

Excellent shot, nice depth, location and posing.  Cool mix of figures too.  The dreadnok themed bat is an oddity, but it does work in the right context.

In retrospect, that convention set was one of the weaker ones.  The concepts weren't terrible though, it was the execution.  I think if they had left out tiger force and just made the set all dreadnoks it would have been better imo.  I've never bothered with this set since to me the figures really only work if you have the whole set including the 2 pack all together.

Maybe someday I'll pick them up if I get the chance, but I doubt it.

Thanks Scarr! I think for me the Dreadheads are the weakest aspect of the set. I like the Tiger Force as a whole, but the convention TF figures would have been better if they had used the vintage TF colors instead of the European ones.

Dag! That B.A.T. is a really good match for the Swampfire. Nice use of Road Pig v2.

I liked your blog, but I hate to correct you on the "Foreign version" line. Both Ripper and Buzzer were poorly done homages to the Purple and Red shirt funskool versions. They're so poorly done it's easy to miss.

I'll edit the post and correct that later, thanks for the tip RTG! That homage totally flew over my head. If they had matched the colors a little better it might've worked, but with Buzzer in both a red shirt with red pants, minus the brown hair he ends up looking almost nothing like the Funskool figure. If at least they'd used the blue camouflage they used on a few other figures, the homage might've been stronger.
