Hello Guest

Outback
Description: I FINALLY found a nice, near-complete Outback for a good price. He's only missing the gun, so he gets Boomerang Billie's for now. Outback is the #1 figure I've wanted since I got back into o-ring Joes. It took forever to find one that was affordable. He did come in a lot with the SLAM and a v1 Sci-Fi (I'm more of a v2 guy), so... now I have those, too?

Fantastic shot, that gun does suit him.

v1 outback is a classic.  The white shirt does seem questionable, but I've always been a fan of this figure.  Great accessories and a great design.

Congrats on snagging one! He's always reminded me of the flag of Ireland. I had him as a kid, but never understood the choice of the new-sneaker white T. I felt it would get him spotted by Cobra a mile away in the bush. Despite that nitpick (which Night Force quickly remedied for me), I thought he was a solid figure with cool accessories- only I felt that even though a "survival instructor" was just as much needed, if not moreso than Slaughter's drill instructor or Quick Kick's martial arts instructor, he should've been Snow Job's shot at "V2" increased usability. This was his chance to pull down the goggles & take off the winter parka to carry a crate of apples into the mess and help Roadblock & Barbecue feed their teammates.

Indeed, this is a great shot DF! I think another cool aspect about giving Outback Boomerang Billie's gun is that you could imagine he stole, possibly from a Lamprey.

Great shot! I'd say this is the best one you've posted here, so far!!

Outback is a cool figure, and the Boomerang Billy gun is a good replacement, it's got the strap, but isn't so damn bulky. the SLAM and Falcon are good background action, too. I like the SLAM quite a bit, actually.

Thank you! I was happy the gun worked so well. What do you use the SLAM for? Just mobile artillery? I'm kinda iffy on it.

I definitely like that gun choice.  It works for Outback and would not have been something I even considered for him.

The tone of the shot is excellent.  These were some of my favorite 1987 offerings.  The SLAM remained a staple of my Joe forces right up until I stopped playing with toys in early 1988.

Thanks! I'm also curious how you used the SLAM. It seems a bit awkward to me, but I can see it growing on me a bit.
