Hello Guest

H.A.L.O.
Description: 1.) R.T.G.'s amazing portrait of Ripcord inspired me to share my own little homage to the figure.
2.) "Who's Who On Cobra Island?" is one of my favorite issues of the comic ever. Its story & artwork has stuck with me like few others.

Holy hell that's a great picture! How'd you pull it off? Photoshop? I don't think you used a clamp though ;).

Also I'm glad my shot led to you doing this one, it's really good! Rip Cord was a well done comic character, especially considering the fact most 84's got very little development.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it :)

I used a very thin fishing line strung under his O-ring so that some was coming out each side of his waist/torso meeting joint. Then I used Microsoft paint to sample the clouds/sky color to "rub" over the visible line (I have never used photoshop & almost never even use this technique).

After I was already halfway through this method though, I had an idea for an easier (full practical effects)  way that I might try next time I want a
paratrooper shot, which is to just set the figure on a piece of glass from a picture frame and get the free fall effect that way. Sunlight glare would be an obstacle so I'd probably try that one on an overcast day.
