Overlord |

Description: I really want to like this figure. But, I find it really tough to use him. I can't align him with Serpentor. But, the color doesn't really work anywhere else.

| October 08, 2017, 05:40:03 AM I like this guy, but I think I slightly prefer the original. He definitely looks like he's lording over everyone in this photo, so it's basically perfect! |

| October 05, 2017, 05:16:36 AM He's definitely hard to use. RTG hit the nail on the head in regards to how poorly thought out that con set was.
Personally I think the original has a more unique look and is easier to use than this version, but the parts they used on this one look somewhat nicer. |

| October 04, 2017, 12:53:34 AM I've always liked the concept of Overlord, but neither of his figures were all that great. |

| October 02, 2017, 04:09:29 PM That Overlord is a decent parts combination, and colorscheme. He's just unfortunately a member of the numerous dud Convention Sets from 2003-2006. It's amazing how poorly thought out a lot of those Convention Sets actually were. The 2006 one is a mess, it's got an idea ripped off from Devil's Due Comics. A well-done but fairly redundant Major Bludd (The 2001 version wasn't good enough?!?) and a trooper with a great parts combo wasted on yet another overly specific designation.
The Mortal strikes me as a love him or hate him figure, but I think everyone can agree that's a figure that definitely doesn't fit in with the rest of the set. |

| September 30, 2017, 08:15:19 PM Never had Overlord, but between Mindbender and him, you have to wonder about the monocles. It's like they were designing bad guys while watching Hogan's Heroes and a Mr. Peanut commercial came on.
But you are right, his outfit definitely has a Serpentor feel to it. |
