I too regret not getting one of these back when funskool stuff was more available.  With a little work, he would make a decent stand in for the vintage version.

I actually have some funskool Zartan legs for a custom version I have put together, but I'm missing the thigh armor.

When I first started buying Funskool figures in the late 2000's, I passed on this guy since I couldn't find him for a price near $10... Oh how I regret that now.

Also, I've really grown fond of the blue on Funskool Buzzer and Ripper.

For a figure that dominated the collecting landscape for a short time in 2001/2002, this guy sure has fallen into obscurity.  

If you view Zartan as someone with a creepier origin than ninja adjacent, the Funskool version is perfect.
