Theme Week - Favorite Cobra |
|
Description: I'm not sure about an overall favorite Cobra, but the 91 CC is one I like and use a lot. He holds a lot of nostalgia, because finding the second wave of 1991 figures in TRU was one of the best surprises of my childhood Joe collecting. And he reminds me of the Destro: Search and Destroy trilogy in the comics. I only dipped my toes into the comics as a kid, buying issues here and there at the gas station, but that plot line stuck with me. And it was the only time CC wore this uniform.

| July 14, 2024, 11:25:28 PM I've never been too keen on this version of the commander. It just doesn't quite fit the character in my opinion. |

| July 14, 2024, 04:40:47 PM This is a really well done figure. I've never been able to find one with a face shield at a price I'm willing to buy, but I kind of wish I would.
1991 is the apex year of the line in a lot of ways. |

| July 13, 2024, 02:28:46 AM It's interesting how much childhood memories are the ones that stick with us.
That's a very nice blue on the 91 CC. I've never actually seen one in person, but he really looks good in your photo! |

| July 13, 2024, 01:43:30 AM This is a great figure. The blue is closer to the classic color than he, at first glance, appears. I hadn't photographed him for a long time, but started using him again a couple of years ago. He goes great with figures across most eras. And, he's different enough that he stands out more than one of the armored CC's that you see more often. |

| July 12, 2024, 03:37:27 PM Nice, I really like this one too. The gold gun was great, and the clear mask always captivated me since I was a kid. I don't have any photos of him yet, since I only somewhat recently got one with decent paint, but he's always been a favorite. |
