Nice shot, well posed.
I always had a soft spot for these vipers, although they are extremely difficult to armybuild, and the shoulders are prone to cracking apart. If only they had been made better. I rather like their color scheme, and like you I never decided what role thay should have. | |

They look good against the green, and with those Black Major rifles. These are good figures, my only complaint is the lack of paint on the legs. | |

A really neat shade on this figure. 1997 is a strange year, as it's got a lot of vibes of the original 82-94 run, but with an attempt to expand on the colour palette. | |

Of all the Vipers, this is the one you see army built the least. Even now, when it's rare to see 2002 and 2003 army pics, the '97's are left behind.
I wasn't a huge of this guy in 1997. But, like the rest of the year, he's aged very well. He's actually a nice match for the Alley Viper of that year, too. |
