Hello Guest

Ambush! (Theme Week: Scrap Iron)
Description: I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, particularly the smoke and the colors. One of the reasons I like to use Scrap Iron as a private contractor is because his blue jumpsuit works with Cobra better than the later Iron Grenadier figures, IMO.

The smoke is perfect! I agree that Scrap Iron looks better with the early Cobras.

Thanks! Spray-painted poly-fil doesn't always look great for smoke, but here I think it worked.

I like the nice mix of Trooper styles.  They work well together.  Which isn't something I'd have thought when looking at them alone.

The AK is also a good match for Scrappy.

Thanks, I was initially going to put my 1983 Trooper in there too, but his rubber band is getting ready to go, so he wouldn't stand up straight. These guys actually worked better than I expected too.
I was initially going to give Scrap Iron a different weapon, but I had him sitting next to the AK and realized that it looked pretty good.

Agree with Mike, that's a great mix of Cobras. And I always like seeing a Trooper with a machine gun. The knocked-out Armadillo is great, especially for Scrap Iron!

Thanks! I only have one TRU 6 pk Trooper, so I always like to do something a little different than regular Troopers with him, and the machine gun fit the bill. Yeah, I figured the Armadillo would imply the presence of Scrap Iron's launcher without showing it. (My launcher is missing pieces and I didn't feel like excavating the 25th era launcher I have somewhere)

Scrap Iron looks particularly good in this shot, the blue seems extra vibrant.

Thanks! He was pretty dusty when i first got him out, so I used a damp cloth to clean him up a bit. He was probably still a bit damp.
