I'm thankful I managed to get a complete Tunnel Rat years ago.  His accessories are great, but I tend to give him a pistol or a smaller rifle as well.

Great pairing with Flint and the Mean Dog. The setting looks appropriately wet and gloomy. I agree with Nekoman, a pistol has always made more sense for real tunnel work. When I was a kid though he often was the machine gunner on a team of "realistic" Joes, like in the Special Missions comics, so his weapon made sense. The backpack is way too big to ever use and I wish the flashlights would fit in his hands. I never did much with the TNT bag, just put it around his body, but as an adult I worry that causes wear to the delicate silver pistol paint.

Tunnel Rat Thursday? I'll make sure to post a Tunnel Rat picture next Thursday!

I wish I had bought a nice complete one back in the days of cheap figures, though oddly, I don't feel like old TR is too married to his gear. It's odd, since his gear is fantastic, but he looks just as well with a pistol like he has here.
